Abstract:
The article deals with the report "Improving Health Through Human Resource (HR) Management," from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. The report emphasizes the need for HR professionals working in the National Health Service to punch their weight in order to improve the organisation's performance. The report also identifies the important role that HR has in communication between management and staff. In particular, HR must help employees understand organisation targets and league tables.
