Vol. 15 Issue 9, p37-37, 2/3p
Abstract: The article discusses several court cases in Great Britain of interest to human resources (HR) practitioners. An employment tribunal has ruled in Hartley v. Northumbria Healthcare National Health Service (NHS) Trust that Agenda for change is a valid job evaluation study under the Equal Pay Act 1970 and that it does not discriminate on grounds of sex. It relates the ruling on Royden and others v. Barnett Solicitors over the application of Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (TUPE) to changes in professional services arrangements.
